So the weather is super chilly and the cool waters have yet again brought our favourite visitors to the beautiful town of Yamba. We are yet to sight Migaloo the amazing albino white whale the only known in its existence and certainly something we watch out for every year. There are many vantage points around Yamba including the lighthouse viewing area and even just off the beach. With a steady stream of the migrating whales its always a good time to pack a picnic and just relax and sit a while, occasionally seeing the mums waving their fins on the way up to the warmer waters of the Whitsundays. When coming to stay with us please drop into reception and find out the best spots to view the whales and even connect with some of the local whale watching operators for that close-up and personal look and capture a once in a lifetime experience of floating along with the migrating whales. If you are lucky enough to be bringing your own boat as Yamba Aston has plentiful parking for boats you will have to check in with the local laws about how far you have to be away from the migrating whales so they have a calm and unfussed pass through our beautiful waters. Our Yamba accommodation is enhanced by the great dining options, so after a chilly whale watching day ask reception to hook you up with some of the local culinary delights and top-rated wines to warm your heart. I relax and laugh with friends in a toasty warm restaurant sounds like a perfect end to a wintery woolly whale watch. Have a great stay and make sure you come back next year.
